Reducing stillbirth and dealing with the aftermath

A free one-day conference aimed at medical and health professionals.

This conference will discuss the physical and psychological trauma women may suffer following a stillbirth and consider changes in medical practice to reduce the occurrence of stillbirth in the future.

Coping with bereavement and loss - 16/06/2010 - 16/06/2010

A FREE workshop that provides practical advice and support for professionals and volunteers who work with people who are dying or who have suffered traumatic loss.

This workshop will:

Outline the process of bereavement, the effects of emotions and how to manage them within professional situations
Advise on how to put together an individual coping strategy to support staff and prevent burnout

The course is accompanied by a comprehensive booklet and resource pack and helpful leaflets suitable for both staff and patients.

Lunch will be provided
