Kevin is a Solicitor in the Medical Law & Patients’ Rights team in Manchester. He has considerable and varied experience of clinical negligence and healthcare-related claims. He has particular interest in fatal accident, cauda equina and birth injury claims.
Cases Kevin has dealt with include representing the family of a patient who committed suicide in hospital at a high-profile inquest. He also recovered damages in excess of £1M for a man in his 20s who lost his vision due to optic nerve injury caused by a blocked hydrocephalus shunt.
Kevin read Law at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, during which time he was awarded first class honours for his dissertation on psychiatric claims arising out of negligence. He trained and qualified at Walker Smith Way Solicitors, where he specialised in Medical Law in the firm’s Chester and Wrexham offices. Kevin joined Irwin Mitchell in January 2012.
