Birmingham office supports Caudwell Children Gift of a Day programme

08 Apr 2010

Four volunteers from the Birmingham office attended a day at the Birmingham Sealife Centre with 11 children and their families as part of the Caudwell Children Gift of a Day programme.

Caudwell Children transforms the lives of sick and disabled children by providing equipment; funding life-saving surgeries and pioneering therapy programmes; and organising holidays for children fighting life-threatening illnesses.

The Gift of a Day is the Caudwell Children’s national programme which provides exciting experiences for sick and disabled children and their families. Children were treated to a VIP tour of the Sealife Centre and were fascinated by the various fish and animal displays on offer including stingrays, seahorses, otters, hammerhead sharks and giant sea turtles. After a picnic lunch they watched a 4D cinema experience on the life of a turtle. The children and their families were supported throughout the day by the volunteers.
