Urology is a surgical speciality, covering the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and reproductive organs.
Cases against urologists often involve other organs being damaged negligently during surgery but cases are also often brought against obstetricians and gynaecologists for causing damage to the urinary tract during gynaecological surgery.
