Owen Johnson, from Dudley, West Midlands, sustained brain damage during his birth at Wordsley Hospital, Dudley, on April 18 1999, after he was temporarily deprived of oxygen.

This was Kim's 3rd pregnancy. At approximately 6-7 weeks gestation, Kim was dizzy and suffered cramp like pains in her side. She attended the early pregnancy unit at Leighton Hospital on 11.07.2008. An ultrasound scan was performed which was inconclusive and a blood sample was taken, consequently Kim was kept in over the weekend for observations.
