Dental claim following removal of healthy tooth
Angela attended a dentist for removal of LR8 wisdom tooth. The dentist failed to remove the LR8 wisdom tooth and removed a healthy molar (LR7) instead.
Had Angela received the appropriate dental treatment and had the correct tooth been extracted this would have avoided the unnecessary pain and suffering and the further procedure to extract the tooth (LR8). Angela would not have been left with the large unsightly gap in her teeth and the prospect of undergoing further dental treatment.
Following a Letter of Claim, which was sent in December 2007, an offer to settle was made by the defendant and, following negotiations, Angela received £5,250 in compensation.
