Originally from the West Midlands, Georgina moved to join the team in 2005. She is a solicitor specialising in medical negligence. Her workload is varied and includes cases involving surgery, birth injury, ophthalmology and fatalities. Georgina also has a special interest in investigating cases involving delayed diagnosis of cancer.
Georgina holds membership and accreditation as a Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Memorable cases Georgina has worked on include that of an 81 year old man who lost his left eye due to an infection that developed following cataract surgery. She negotiated compensation of £90,000 for her client, which she hopes will make a big difference to his day-to-day life.
When she is not working, Georgina can often be found cycling in the Peak District. She loves animals and volunteers for the RSPCA on Saturdays. She is also actively involved in supporting the Cavendish Centre, an independent charity providing free emotional support to people and their families affected by cancer in Yorkshire and Derbyshire. In 2009 she completed a 45 mile walk from Manchester to Sheffield in 17 hours, raising over £1000 for this worthwhile cause.
