Lindsey is a clinical negligence solicitor in the Medical Law and Patients' Rights team in Newcastle and has worked for Irwin Mitchell since February 2011. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Lindsey was a qualified radiographer working for a number of years in MRI research.
Lindsey acts for clients who have suffered injuries or illnesses in a broad range of circumstances. Her varied caseload includes claims involving the delay and misdiagnosis of cancer, bowel injuries, delays in the treatment of strokes and claims resulting from surgical errors including cosmetic surgery claims.
Lindsey has a particular interest in elderly care claims and is helping to achieve settlement in fatal claims and those where negligent treatment has led to the development of pressure sores, infections and injuries. She also handles cases involving inquests and has assisted families in the Coroner's Court.
For Lindsey, the most rewarding part of the job is helping clients and their families achieve their aims at what can be a most distressing and difficult time in their lives, whether they aim to secure compensation to fund their care needs or to obtain answers about their treatment.
Before joining Irwin Mitchell Lindsey worked in the field of Personal Injury and has experience of dealing with high value and complex disease and accident cases.
In her spare time Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family who manage to keep her very busy.
