Rebecca is an associate solicitor within the clinical negligence team in London and acts on behalf of patients. She joined Irwin Mitchell in September 2007 and prior to that she assisted on catastrophic injury cases and clinical negligence cases. Rebecca has a particular interest in cases involving spinal cord injuries and birth injuries.
Rebecca has a broad practice and has obtained settlements on cases involving failure to diagnose breast cancer, failure to treat a spinal disc protrusion and delay in diagnosis of a fistula following childbirth amongst others.
She was recently involved in a case relating to negligent neurosurgical treatment, resulting in paraplegia in which a settlement of £8.5 million was achieved.
Rebecca studied English at the University of London as an undergraduate and then completed her postgraduate studies in law at Nottingham Law School. She qualified as a solicitor in 2004 after completing two years as a trainee in Oxford. Rebecca was acknowledged in the 2010 edition of Legal 500, an international guide on legal service providers.
Rebecca enjoys getting involved in fundraising events and recently enjoyed dragon boat racing for charity. When she is not acting on behalf of patients she enjoys travelling, skiing and playing tennis.
