Kate Major

Kate Major

Location: London

Kate is a solicitor based in the clinical negligence team in London specialising in clinical negligence claims on behalf of patients and their families. She deals with a wide range of claims involving orthopaedics, fatal cases, birth trauma, delay in diagnosis of cancer and children who have suffered injuries at birth.

Kate joined Irwin Mitchell in September 2009. She manages her own varied caseload whilst also assisting more experienced members of the team with complex and high-value claims, often involving birth injury such as cerebral palsy.

Kate understands that the clinical negligence procedure can seem daunting and complex to clients and their families so she always makes sure that her clients understand every step of the process as their claim progresses.

Kate studied Law at Sheffield Hallam University and completed her postgraduate studies at Inns of Court School of Law in London. Kate worked as a Paralegal dealing with personal injury claims before completing two years training with Russell-Cooke Solicitors in London, where she gained extensive experience in the clinical negligence department. Kate qualified as a Solicitor in 2006.

When Kate is not working, she enjoys netball, eating out and socialising with friends.
