Cynthia joined the London clinical negligence team of Irwin Mitchell in 2009. Cynthia has over 15 years experience of clinical negligence claims and has acted on behalf of both patients and hospitals.
Prior to studying law, Cynthia qualified and worked as a radiographer and this experience has provided her with an insight into the NHS which assists her understanding her client's claims. She handles a broad range of cases, including representing families at Inquests, fatal and birth injury claims and has particular expertise in transplant and cancer cases.
Cynthia has recently settled a number of cases including a claim on behalf of a family, whose mother was a resident in a residential care home, died after developing an infection following a bedsore and negotiated damages of £165,000 for a transplant patient who suffered rejection as a result of the hospital's failure to take appropriate action when his blood tests indicated low levels of anti rejection medication.
Cynthia is passionate about helping clients understand what happened to them or to a member of their family and to guide them through what can be a long and complex process.
Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family and travelling. At home she would love to be self sufficient and spends a lot of her weekends tending the chickens and vegetables.
