Caroline Trinder

Location: London

Caroline is Client Liaison Manager in the London office.  She is a Registered General Nurse with more than 20 years’ medical experience.

After training at The Royal London Hospital in 1987, Caroline worked as a Junior Ward Sister on a Neurosurgical Ward caring for patients undergoing all types of spinal and brain surgery.  Following this she was a Ward Manager of an Orthopaedic and General Surgical Ward for over 9 years.

Caroline then went on to work as a Case Manager for an independent rehabilitation provider in London for 6 years, where she was involved in assessing the physical, social and medical needs of injured patients who had often sustained complex, catastrophic physical injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and psychological trauma.  The patients were then provided with extensive rehabilitation programmes to aid their recovery.

Caroline now works as a Client Liaison Manager for the London office, assisting Irwin Mitchell clients with the following:

Liaising with local services, professionals and agencies about ongoing programmes and care needs
Highlighting areas of need and coordinating appropriate services and support for families
Advice and assistance with benefits applications, reviews and appeals
Practical support with day to day issues such as budgeting, useful coping strategies and support with ongoing rehabilitation issues

For Caroline, her particular interests are working with clients who have sustained traumatic brain injuries, multiple musculoskeletal injuries, and amputees.  She works closely with Headway (a brain injury charity) when assisting her clients, and regularly attends the Acquired brain injury Forum for London (ABIL).  Caroline is an active member of BABICM (British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers).
