Kate Eccles

Location: Leeds

Kate is a Solicitor based in the Leeds Office. She trained in the Medical Law and Patients’ Rights Team for a total of 16 months before qualifying as a Solicitor. She is now a permanent member of the team and works on a range of cases varying in complexity and value, including those involving traumatic brain injury.

Kate was born and grew up in Birmingham. She moved to Leeds in 2003 to attend university and liked the city so much that she decided not to leave. Prior to university, Kate spent a year working with young children in Stuttgart, Germany.

Kate is a member of Irwin Mitchell’s charity committee and enjoys organising and participating in fundraising activities for local and national based charities. She is proud to have attended events in support of The Laura Crane Trust, Friends of Lucy-Mai, Leeds Mencap and SNAPS. She has just taken part in this year’s legal walk through Leeds in aid of the North East Legal Support Trust (NELST).

Kate sits on the committee of the Leeds Junior Lawyers Division of the Law Society and is a member of the Leeds and West Riding Medico-Legal Society. She also advises at the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).
