James Thompson is a methodical and determined clinical negligence solicitor. He has a proven track record and thrives on getting the job done. He has conducted claims from multi-million pound to those of more modest value.
James studied Law at De Montfort University in Leicester and obtained a Law degree in 2001 with honours. He moved to York to undertake his postgraduate studies gaining a commendation in 2004. He trained at Beck Solicitors in Harrogate. Following qualification in July 2007 he joined Ison Harrison Solicitors in Leeds in their Clinical Negligence department. He started working for Irwin Mitchell in August 2010.
In the last 7 years James has dealt with cases for both adults and children including: cerebral palsy, oncology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, neurology and neurosurgery, cardiology, endocrinology, colorectal and other general surgery to name a few. He regularly acts in fatal and secondary victim claims.
James enjoys helping people and cares about his clients. He is a sympathetic advisor and fights for justice. He listens carefully and endeavours to talk in clear language. He is always happy to answer questions.
James recognises that discovering what happened can often be as important as getting compensation. Whilst he cannot guarantee that a matter will be successful he does guarantee that it will be investigated properly and with tenacity.
