Jonathan Peacock

Jonathan Peacock

Location: Bristol

Jonathan is a partner based in Bristol, conducting medical negligence and complex personal injury claims, with a particular interest in brain injury litigation and fatal cases. He also works with a team of lawyers who represent the victims of child abuse and elder abuse.

Jonathan once won £7.2m damages for a boy injured when he was run down by a driver participating in an illegal city centre car race and he recently represented a family in a series of legal actions arising from neglect of elderly residents at a Birmingham nursing home.

Jonathan appreciates that not all cases are simply about compensation and often provides representation for families at inquests and assists them in their dealings with independent inquiries and the media. His cases are usually high profile and he regularly appears on TV and radio and is often quoted in the press.

Chambers 2012 says Jonathan "has a remarkable track record' and is 'very dynamic."

Three interesting facts you might like to know about him are:

  • Jonathan was a vintage clothing dealer on Portobello market in the 1980s where his clients included Joe Strummer of the Clash.
